Giclee Fine Art Details
Bon and Jim Fillpot's photographs are created as fine art Giclee prints utilizing a highly specialized printing process. These limited edition prints are made with 6-color pigmented inks rather than the traditional, light sensitive, chemically based photographic papers. Pigmented inks have over 100 year longevity.
Founded in 1584, Hahnemuhle has been creating papers known for their esthetics and enduring permanence. The Hahnemuhle Fine Art Collection is acid-free, rag content stock used exclusively by the Fillpots. When the pigmented ink is applied to the paper, a rich, color intensity and crispness occurs, producing a fine work of art.
Bon's art background and over 20 years of professional portrait photography where she does all art work on her hand-oiled canvas portraits made for an easy transfer to Giclee Art. Every image is carefully considered before any art work is introduced. Some images are printed as photographed or have moderately enhanced backgrounds. Other images are entirely hand painted by Bon and you can actually see brush strokes. The Fillpots do not use digital painted filters during the painting process, making each image a one of a kind creation.
These fine art prints are photographed, hand painted and printed by the Fillpots. All images are limited editions, hand signed and numbered by the Fillpots.
