Bon and Jim Fillpot -- Statement

Starting out as a photographer and an artist we have been able to share our expertise to create plein aire fine art photography of flowers and plants. We both agree that our florals should be photographed as they grow.

The challenge of finding the perfect available light on the stunning structure of a flower is most rewarding. Photography as an art is more than just shooting flowers. We get involved with a plant, to see how and where it grows and then decide the perfect angle to show the form and function of the plant. Sometimes a complete view of a flower is necessary. A tightly cropped image, with a sensuous flow of petals, reveals the stunning interplay of light, color and form, creating a mysterious viewing pleasure.

The beauty around us never ceases to amaze me. We are all blessed with such small, simple beautiful gifts from nature.

We hope our photographic art will enable you , the viewer, to see and feel the beauty we must never take for granted.

Joy and success is found when someone views our art with a smile or a tear in their eye and a common bond has touched our hearts.
